Dignitas International has committed itself to "improving access and the quality of treatment and care for HIV/AIDS" worldwide. Founders James Fraser and Dr. James Orbinski operate on the foundation of a "belief in human dignity," ultimately aiming "to ensure that everyone has access to health care, regardless of wealth, gender or geography."
- WE DO: by implementing community-based care programs, we increase access to comprehensive prevention, treatment, care and support for people living with HIV/AIDS and related illnesses.
- WE LEARN: by conducting intervention research to monitor and evaluate our programs, and to answer specific research questions, we continually learn how to improve HIV/AIDS-related programming in diverse cultural and economic settings.
- WE SHARE: by sharing what we learn with other organizations, governments and citizens, we improve the international response to global HIV/AIDS and related illnesses.
